I have been anticipating this book since being introduced to the Masters of Shadowlands series. BDSM at it's best for all us brats in the world.
Sam and Linda had unfinished business from him making her do the one thing she swore she wouldn't, climax. Being a victim of a horrible slave trade operation Linda tried to regain her life and be "normal person". She did not want to accept that she was submissive or a masochist because of others view on a person enjoying a little kink in the bedroom. Sam accepted her and made her feel whole with no judgment but he could not give her his all.
This is a love story come true of a hardcore sadist and his willing masochist. They heeled each other from past hurts of being someone else instead of who they really were. Acknowledging no one can determine your choices but yourself in the end.
Linda being a true mother hen in protecting her kids, man, and faith in justice was wrote to perfection. I doubted her self doubt in the beginning but when all the pieces were put together I fell in love with her character and am now on a mission for my AYW-ID ( all you want I'll do), now one og my favorite acronyms. She found friends, peace, love, and strength.
Sam being a Sadistic Dom through and through was a closed off man who after a night of unprotected sex caused him to marry a woman who destroyed his williness to express himself. Still a favorite for his "hard truth", I just couldn't be more turned on. Whip, clamps, and spankings would not have turned me away; good Linda thought the same. She broke those walls and got to the heart of steel.
If you are a TRUE BDSM eroctic romance lover I recommend this book and series. Cherise Sinclair is "THE DOMME" in a world of Masters and I am a proud brat that will follow submissively. I give this book 5♥'s.

Gives Me The Wiggles
There are a lot of good looking men in this world who give me the wiggles, in a good way. But there is one thing that will set me off in a shiver of absolute dread – and that is snakes. I thought about that this morning when I went outside to check the mail box. I stepped off my front porch and walked a few steps, when I heard a rustle. I looked back and nearly died! I had stepped over a huge snake, a water moccasin, at least 5 foot long, which means he is my size! He didn’t do anything but slither on off, but I swear he was as big around as my arm. At some times of the year they can be very aggressive, so I was very lucky.
I have seen moccasins try to get in the boat with you and crawl up on the bank after you, this occurs during mating season, mostly. They are very dangerous and very poisonous. My dad was very scared of snakes and once he came in and told us he had run over one as big as a tire. Well, I knew he had to be exaggerating, but a friend and I went down into the pasture and sure enough, we found a big snake and killed him. You might think this is cruel, but we had baby calves who would have died from a bite. But however big it was, it wasn’t tire size. However, my uncle was bush-hogging a little later and ran over something, it was big enough to jar his tractor. So, he got off to see what it was – and sure enough it was a granddaddy snake – huge, massive – very deadly. He had killed it with the blade.
Our area was known for those snakes. My grandfather used to tell me that a traveling carnival came to town one year and there was a man who claimed he could charm snakes. He even issued a challenge for anyone to bring any snake to him and he would charm it. Some mean boys in town brought him a big moccasin and the man tried, but the snake bit him and he died. I also have a neighbor who pulled back her covers to get in bed one day – and there one was – not a moccasin, but a black snake. It wouldn’t have to be poisonous to kill me. If I found one in my bed, that would be the last time I slept there. Another lady told me she had one in her house, she had spotted it lying over the fireplace mantel, all stretched out. At first, she didn’t know what it was. She stared at it until it moved and then she screamed and went to get her husband. When they returned, it was gone. Later that night, she heard it in the kitchen cabinets, moving from one shelve to the next. He got it that time.
When my Mom was younger, she and her cousins would go swim down in the pond. There was a narrow trail that led to the water, closed in tight by thick bushes on either side. Uncle Clarence led the way, guiding the other six or seven kids to the lake. To his surprise, a snake met him in the path and instead of turning away and crawling into the bushes, it reared up on its tail and looked Clarence in the eye and he, not knowing what to do, began to punch at it. As he would punch, the snake would dodge – left – right – left – right. Clarence never landed a blow, but he did assert his dominance and the snake finally gave up and slithered away.
I’m telling you all this to tell you a funny story. Last year, I had decided I was going to send a photo of myself to a friend. It was going to be a sexy pose on the bed, and I undressed for the role. I set up my tripod and got myself all ready. I was nervous. I wasn’t used to trying to be a centerfold model. So, I decided to go to the bathroom before setting the timer on the camera and posing. This was at our deer camp, so the bathroom wasn’t big. I got in there and sat down and felt something watching me. I looked over on the vanity and there was this huge snake just staring at me. I didn’t stay on the pot, but I did pee. I literally levitated from where I was at and sailed from the room. I jerked on a robe and called my uncle who came later and found the crack in the floor where the monster got in and he also found a couple more snakes and got rid of them for me. Obviously, the sexy picture waited until another day, but I did get it taken and dispatched it to the proper party. Ha! – That’s another story.
In my part of the world snake stories have a life of their own. Everybody has one or two or more. There are always photos in the paper of men holding up rattle snakes, longer than they are. It reminds me of a cartoon, I always enjoyed. It showed a bored man, standing by his wife. The wife’s hair is standing straight up. They are surrounded by houseplants. And the caption reads, “Well, when you live in a jungle, you have to expect snakes.” And I do, I live in the swamp and snakes live here too. That’s one reason I have cats, the more cats you have, the less snakes you have. But I wouldn’t want any of them to tangle with the big one that I stepped over this morning.
I have written about snakes a couple of times – in Cowboy Heat and TROUBLE. Here’s a good scene from TROUBLE.
Kyler Landon smoothed the supple leather with a large, roughened hand. The saddle was almost completed. This particular saddle would go to the Houston Livestock Rodeo and be presented to the current World Champion cowboy. It was solitary work, but work he enjoyed. Tooling patterns on the leather was his favorite thing, this one had a vine pattern, and the brand of the cowboy’s ranch figured prominently in the design. Letting his mind wander, he found himself caressing the leather, remembering the last time he touched the velvety skin of a woman. Stop! He tried to turn his mind away from sex. He tortured himself night after night with images of a soft, sweet woman who would welcome him between her thighs. He wanted a woman who would let him love her as much and as often as he wanted. A woman that would enjoy his loving as much as he enjoyed loving her.
It had been a long time, too damn long. Dallying with the local girls could get you into a whole passel of trouble—especially a man in his position.
The sound of a vehicle stopping at his front gate pulled him from his sensual reverie. He imagined it was the mysterious little black car from down the road, but he knew better. This was a bigger engine. Sometimes, when he was working out in the front yard, that car would go by and slow down to a crawl. The windows were tinted completely black, a great deal darker than was legal, he knew. So, he was at a disadvantage. He couldn’t see who was behind the wheel, but whoever it was could sure the hell see him. And they had looked, long and hard. He could actually, physically, feel their gaze on his skin.
Hell, he had even fantasized about who was driving that sexy little car. Once, when he had been working on the front fence without a shirt, the driver had actually run off the road. That fact had made him smile. Whoever it was, he was getting to them. As his luck ran, however, the driver was probably a woman in her seventies or a man in his forties. But one could dream.
He sat there too long, dreaming. He heard the vehicle leave. Rising from his chair, he made his way out of the Saddlery shop and across the yard to the main house. A package sat by the front door. ‘Must have been UPS,’ he thought. Good! He had been waiting on some custom silver belt buckles for a special order. Taking the six front steps in two leaps, he grabbed the package from the floor, opened the door, and let himself in.
Laying the cardboard box on the coffee table, he grabbed a beer and headed back to the yard. The belt buckles would have to wait. One of these days, a cold front would head this way and he would want to put a fire in the fireplace, so wood needed to be split. He opened his mouth to call the dogs, but then remembered he had taken them to the vet for their annual check-up and shots.
Today, it would just be him. Alone again. Going to the side of the house, he retrieved his axe. Chopping wood would go a long way to working off some of his sexual frustration. Maybe. Hell, it was worth a try. The wood was piled out front near the gate, a mix of red oak and hickory, as good for barbeque as it was for heat. He swigged the beer, and then set the bottle up on top of a fence post. Ky had employees who could have done this work for him, but he like to keep in shape and there was nothing better than real physical labor to put on layers of muscle—it beat the crap out of a gym, any day.
It didn’t take long for him to find his rhythm and even a shorter time for him to get hot and decide to shed his shirt. As he worked, he reviewed his plans for the next few days. Tomorrow was his day to put time in at his animal shelter, Saturday was Angel Pantry day and not a woman in sight for the best date night of the week. Shit!
Cooper drove slowly by the Landon place. Ah, sweet Lord! There he was. And the fact she had been a good girl was paying off in spades. The powers-that-be had seen fit to reward her by letting the sun beat down hot enough to cause Gorgeous to shed his shirt. She slowed to a crawl. Sometimes, he would stop working and watch her drive by. Today, he appeared too busy to notice. A movement at the side of the woodpile caught her eye. What in the world? Cooper was alarmed to see a huge snake crawling out of the stacked logs. The vibrations of the axe on the wood had obviously disturbed it. This couldn’t be good.
Cooper pulled over and stopped. Trying to be as quite as possible, she opened the car door but did not shut it. The snake was right behind her neighbor and she was afraid to call out, for fear, any sudden movement on his part would cause the snake to strike. The rhythmic movement of the man and the axe had the snake, seemingly, hypnotized.
She walked as silently as she could, until she was at the fence, right behind the snake. He was coiled and ready to strike. Cooper knew snakes, having grown up on in the deserts of southwest Texas. She quickly recognized that either the rattler had somehow lost his rattles in an accident, or someone had intentionally caught it and removed them for a hat decoration or whatever.
It was now or never. Putting aside her normal reservations about being so close to a man, she decided his safety was more important than her own. Climbing slowly up on the fence, she spoke softly. “Don’t move, Mr. Landon. Don’t move a muscle.” The snake was huge! Coiled up, it was hard to judge, but it could easily top five feet.
The beautifully muscled man slowed his movements, until he was still. “Is this a hold-up?” He asked the question softly, with a touch of humor in his voice.
“No, but there is a major-sized rattlesnake right behind you, and it’s getting ready to strike.”
Ky froze. He didn’t know which he was more concerned about, the idea of a dangerous reptile or the intriguing female voice that made him want to risk turning his head to look and see if the rest of her matched the incredible, husky, little voice.
“Just listen to me. As you know, snakes can’t hear, but they can feel vibrations. I am going to jump off this fence. Hopefully, it will turn on me. When I scream ‘now’, you turn around and whack him with your axe. Please.” She did not hesitate—there wasn’t time.
She jumped. The snake whirled around and immediately struck out at her. “Now!” She dodged backwards for all she was worth, slamming her body into a fencepost. The snake’s deadly fangs grazed her thigh, but from the look of things, distance and the thickness of her jeans saved her from a direct hit. Ky did his part and the snake’s head parted company with its body.
Cooper tried to get up, but the post she had run into had obviously knocked the wind out of her.
“Good Lord!” Ky. Landon looked from the snake to her. “Did he get you?” At her slight negative nod, he quickly picked her up. “Let’s get you in the house and make sure.”
Cooper struggled. “No. No. I’m all right. I can walk, I’m too heavy for you to try and carry.”
“I think I can bear up under your tremendous weight.” Ky looked down at his slight burden. He would have smiled at her consternation, if the situation hadn’t been so serious. Heavens! She was lovely. All he could think of were the words to one of his favorite Elvis songs, ‘Well hello, T-R-O-U-B-L-E.’ Thank God, for trouble.
And here is the link for T-R-O-U-B-L-E

Jeremy was a man who wanted to change who he was to impress a woman. Danger and power was what she craved so that was what he sought out to be and have.
With the help of an image consultant, Jeisa, he reached that and some. He was not banking on his love for Alethea to be nothing but lust for a childhood obsession. What his body and life really needed was the one woman who he could confide in, laugh with, be himself around, and also who washis best friend, Jeisa. Being given one week to make his choice before she move on after confessing her love, Jeremy took action. There where bumps and bruises but in the end they found their way.
Ruth is the queen of powerhouse players on the cutting edge of technology when it comes to books and she did not waver on the crown. I was in awe of the storyline and turn out of the book as well as the comic relief as well. I was happy my honey Dominic was still his loving badass self and Jeremy's self proclaimed mentor. This was one if my favorite stories in the series. Batman, Batman, and Robin will be at it again.
I give this book 4 1/2 ♡'s and am waiting for the next. So as you wonder or think when in a rutt just say WWDD? What Would Dominic Do?

If you have not read a book by Kathleen Brooks then you are missing out on a wonderful funfilled adventure. I just finished the new release, Relentless Pursuit, book 4 in her Bluegrass Brothers Series and it was AWESOME.
Pierce Davies, the youngest of the breathtaking Davies brothers woke up a murderer. He had no recollection of the events because of a head injury. Tammy, the woman who has been loving him for 2 years while he ignored her, she was his only hope and help besides family. She worked hard to prove her love innocents and made him work even harder to apologize for overlooking her. While putting her life on the line to lure in the real murderers they grew closer and poor "wet behind the ears" Pierce fell hard in love and fast.
In this book Kathleen not only had my mind racing but kept tears in my eyes from laughter. Although new characters that were introduced have me intrigued, I can't help but to be drawn the the ones that are still a mystery. The ending did me in because I was so not expecting the return of his lost night to reveal that information. Yes, I will leave you guessing......
Soif you love "ah ha" moments, sibling banter, bad ass sercurity team, nosey townsman, family togetherness, a good drink, fairy godmothers, and jealous Belles this is the book to read.I have to caution you, tisuue and a bathroom near is required. Great job Kathleen I give this book 5♡'s.

For the past two years Grace only mission was to seek revenge for her daughter’s death and leave feelings out completely. Ha, no luck because Gabe wanted answers but he also wanted his wife in which he never gave up hope on. When a mission calls for a sharp shooting assassin, Gabe hunts her down for recruitment to his team, The Collective. She agrees but with one request, he helps her get to the man that ordered their daughter’s death so she can repay him his death. They got to kill two birds with one stone when the hunted turns out to be involved in the events from two years ago as well.
Gabe and Grace had an attraction like no other towards each other and the adrenaline of killing and outsmart the bad guys only fueled that fire. I was drawn in from the first sparring match in the bedroom of the man Grace was going to kill for the bounty. When the first chapter is red hot and full of action you can pretty much bet the rest will follow, in Liliana’s case. This book gave me goose bumps and wet panties all in one sitting. “Mistress of Suspense” is what I will rename Liliana Hart because she succeeded and then some.
If you enjoy a book that includes rekindling love, explosions, melting bodies (sexually and literally), cool gadgets, smart mouth geeks, melting buildings, breaking and entering the fun way, and false seduction then here you go. From start to finish and no in between, Kill Shot will have you engrossed for hours and referring it to friends that call to interrupt you. I am so looking forward to Jake’s story to see what he will do once he gets the information in which he needs.
Thank you Liliana for another GREAT book.

THE HERO – THE GREAT MAN
People keep asking me why I seem so entranced by superheroes. It's true that most kids grow up and "mature" past the idea of men in tights and capes leaping off of buildings, but for some weird reason, I never did.
I have a lot of adulty fascinations also. I love fitness, philosophy, religion, history, literature, music and film. Some of these are hobbies so deep and complex that a lot of average people don't have the time or facility to expend energy swimming through, so why is it that I also wrap a towel around my neck and try to save the day?
Easy. Because its all the same to me. All of those things I listed, as well as the concept of the superhero, come from the same central, consuming theme that pervades every thought.
There is a theory that sums up how our histories and lives play out. It is commonly called the "Great Man" theory. It postulates that history is just a series of biographies of great men. It implies that all of the greatness, and change, and power that the world has seen, comes from man, humanity, the all-powerful mind.
This theory says to me that those sayings you hear when you are a kid, like "you can do anything you put your mind to" or "anything is possible if you just believe," are absolutely, completely true.
It says to me that inside every single one of us, is the potential to be a "great man" who will change the world, direct the course of history, inspire the millions and make a difference.
It says to me that each one of us has a responsibility to be the best that we can be, to pursue our own perfection, mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
It says to me, that in my journey to becoming my best self, I must share that wisdom, joy and love with all others around me, that I should express that to them with compassion and kindness and artful expression.
It may be diluted and silly, but to me, the superhero is the archetype of that theory. It is a basic concept, wrapped in beautiful colors and flashy language, that resonates powerfully with children before that the stresses and distractions of the world separate them from it.
A superhero is the best of us, he pushes himself to be stronger than he is, smarter than he is, more enduring than he is, and then sacrifices that perfection for the rest of us.
And this archetype is the exact same story told in history, mythology, literature and film.
It's the most basic life lesson. It's my church. It's my goal. It's my motivation. Its an instruction manual for growing up and being the best you can be.
So you can all laugh, or judge, or snicker or belittle my S on my chest or my cape. It's ok. I'm proud of it. I will continue to better myself physically, intellectually and spiritually. I will continue to love and put my life down for my fellow man. I will continue to express these archetypes and stories in my books. And it will be because of my recognition of the importance of superheroes.
And I will cry like a little bitch when Superman saves the day in "Man Of Steel" on June 14.
I love you,

When David arrived at the apartment, Jenna’s door was left ajar. A twinge of excitement rushed up his spine. He had no idea what to expect. He just thought, ‘please Lord, don’t let her be cooking barbeque.’
He swung the door open.
“Stick ‘em up!”
David stood still. He didn’t know what was going on. “Excuse me?”
Jenna spoke with as fierce and growly a voice as she could. Sadly for her, it came out sounding like a raspy cat that might have had a cold. “I said: STICK ‘EM UP!”
Her voice changed back to sweet, normal Jenna. “Also, could you please close the door and lock it behind you, thanks!” Fierce, sick kitty voice. “Now stick ‘em up!”
David closed the door while fighting a laugh. His baby was wearing a leather vest that covered her boobs, but not much else, and chaps, he thought. But he looked closer at her crotch. “Are you pant-less again?”
“I am Jenna the Kid! The most ruthless, gun-totin’, scoundrel-shootin’, bank robbin’ cowgirl that the wild, wild west has ever seen. And I’ll wear ass-less chaps over my bare bottom if I feel like it! You’re cuttin’ up a fine figure tonight, Mr. Conlon. I am going to need you to hand over your wallet, and your clothes.”
David slowly put his hands in the air. “Are you serious?”
“Yes, I’m serious! I’m more serious than a bluetick hound in a hydrant garden.”
“I’m new at western expressions, don’t judge. But I’m not new at holdin’ up lily-livered, yella-bellied, sons o’ guns like you. Now take your clothes off!”
David wasn’t sure exactly what he was supposed to do other than what she was telling him to do, but his fire was starting to burn, seeing her body in that tight, little costume. Jenna thought she had the upper hand, but David would turn the tables and enjoy doing it.
Out-gunned, temporarily, by Jenna the Kid, Dirty Dave Conlon began to take his clothes off. Ripples of lust warred with his natural reluctance to give up control. “As soon as you slip up, Jenna the Kid, I’m going to swipe your six-shooters and wale the tar outta you.” Stark naked, David put his hands up in the air. The muscles of his chest and stomach pulled tight as his arms extended above him. His cock, already hanging very low, began to elongate and stand in response to the attention that Jenna’s eyes were giving it. He saw her notice. He was hoping his dick would distract her just enough for him to strike.
“I don’t slip up so easy, Dirty Dave.” Then she saw his cock. It grew in front of her eyes. “Oh my god.” She almost dropped her gun. He flexed his kegel muscle and his rod jumped up for her. Jenna’s mouth dropped open and she began to lick her lips. David saw an opportunity and took it.
He leaped at her, throwing her gun to the ground. Jenna pushed him away, but not very hard. He didn’t move. She jumped back instead and turned to get some distance between her and her dueler. As she scampered away, David could see her cute, little ass bouncing as her legs moved her across the room. “You’re pretty fast, Dirty Dave. But can you out-wrangle THIS?” Jenna pulled a lariat from a hiding spot behind her and began to swing it in the air, with very poor form. “I’m gonna hog-tie you!”
David stood up tall, making himself as easy a target as possible.
She tossed the loop at him, and he kind of leaned into it, catching the rope with his head. Jenna squealed. “Yeah! Gotcha now!”
She ran to him and pulled the slack up. She started to wrap him in the rope, making coil after coil around his torso. When she had used most of the rope, she held up the end of it, and David could see that she was racking her brain trying to imagine how to tie it. He snickered and she held her toy pop gun up to his chin. “Don’t you laugh at Jenna the Kid.” Then she threw the gun down and starting making the end of the rope into cute little bows like shoelaces. She eventually bunched it up and sat it under her knee as she straddled him. “There’s no use squirming around, Dave. I’ve got ya wrangled. Now time for me to take my prize.” Jenna reached behind her and grabbed for his cock. When her fingers found it, she slowly wrapped them round it and stroked. She rubbed his shaft painfully slow.
“Jenna, touch me faster.”
“No. I tied you up. I get to do just exactly what I want to do with you.”
David growled. Jenna hummed her satisfaction. It wasn’t taking long for her plan to start working. She spread her legs wider. Her ass-less chaps left her pussy exposed save for just the curve of her bottom. As she opened herself, David could feel the heat and moisture emanating from her sex.
His cock answered with a vibrating little tremble. Jenna could feel it in her hand. “Is this what you want?” She rubbed the tip of his dick against her pussy lips, letting her cream coat the sensitive head.
Just the first inch or so of his member felt the warmth of her pussy but she never pulled it farther in. “Jenna, you’re killing me. Take it all in.”
“You are not being very patient with me. I’m not going to let you feel all of me until you learn to be grateful and respectful.” As she spoke, she felt David’s great strength as he tensed his muscles. She began to understand how easily he could get loose if he really wanted to. Her knee on the rope created a good-enough illusion that he wouldn’t pull at it, she hoped. But then again, she did want him to break his bonds. Jenna held him tighter and squeezed his cock in her hand. She let it slide in front of her pussy and used it to stimulate her clit. She bent his dick forward and moved her body up and down the shaft, so that the ridge of his head plucked at her pearl every time she slid up.
“You’re driving me crazy.”
“When you get there, Cowboy, let me know.” Her challenge was met with a roar from her captor. She smiled and opened her vest. Her breasts fell out, jiggling in front of his face. . Jenna played with her nipples while looking David in the eye. She slid her fingers into her mouth to get them wet and then swirled them around her tit, causing her nipple to bulge with want. Her other hand slid down to her vagina and dipped inside. She slid it out and used the cream to slickly stroke his dick.
“Stop teasing me.” David’s voice was huge and harsh. It was resonant and deep. She could hear the power in the vibrations his voice caused in her chest and stomach.
Thanks for reading – I will give away a copy of FOR A HERO to one of the commenters – we’ll let Mojo pick.

If you are into love, action, spanking, betrayal, redemption, and coming together well this is the book for you. I have been a fan of Lexi Blake's, Masters and Mercenaries Series, from the beginning. The story of Alex and Eve has always been a mystery, until now.
When two people are just meant to be then there is nothing or anyone that can tear them apart. Alex has never quit calling Eve his wife regardless of signed divorce papers and she has never wanted another to dominate or love her either. There was a past demon and partner betrayal that tore them apart. They never knew that those same people will heal wounds and bring them together. The support of a wayward family that will always have your back is a plus. The strength of your love and sisters can make your nightmare get eaten by gators.
I may be bias but I thought "A Dom is Forever" was my favorite but Alex and Eve stole my heart. I may be saying that about Ian story too but hey, Lexi knows how to twist a girls arm. It may be with spankings, guns, and hot sex but that works for me. I recommend the book better yet check out the entire series so you will not be lost with the characters. Excellent job, Lexi, as always.

The first book in the series, “Savin’ Me” had me on edge and I was on an emotional roller coaster with the Eric and Kat. This book teaches you about moving on and knowing you can’t be what everyone wants you to be. Being yourself is all you can be. Eric struggled with regret of losing his first love because of him not wanting to hurt her. Her passing was beyond his control but he assumed if he handled this differently she would have still been alive. With that he shut himself off from commitment until Kat beat him at his own game.
Kat, after suffering from her hands of her friends back stabbing, moved for a fresh start and found the man of her haunted fantasies. After 13 months of leaving him in his bed she finds herself face to face with him as a client she doesn’t want to get involved with. Her goal is to be the girl her parents want her to be, successful, driven, and high class. Her passion is to be humble, volunteer, and help the world.
While not given up these Eric and Kat fight for what they want, each other, against all odds and obstacles. If you like beating the odds with a little twist and turn “Savin’ Me” is the book to read. You would laugh and get angry all at the same time but in the end you would understand and be craving, MORE.
The second book in the series, “Last Call” will have you fighting to save yourself and the ones you love. Gavin and Sonny were meant to be from first sight. With battling for his inner peace and overcoming the lust of someone he had no interest in, Gavin faced great danger.
Sonny, the laid back bar owner was drawn in by the erotic drink orders (in a negative way), but saw the man behind the scold. With all she can muster up, she finds a three year itch; scratch by a man who wants her everything.
I just have to say Alannah had me at the bar the next morning. The fun of the couple and the sexual tension would have you throwing back a few just to feel like you are there. I love a man who is out to prove himself and make the world a better place. Many of us are blind until that one person gives us eyes to see. That is what Sonny did for Gavin.
The third book in the series,”Crossin Lines” will have you in erotic ecstasy. Let’s just say Kevin provided Samantha with her wildest dreams and in turn they both gave each other the strength to find the end before they self destructed.
When you have a passion and no one supports you after the loss of you father/business partner you climb in a shell and use yourself for comfort. Oh, no Sam none of that when Kevin discovers you are what he needs and he can give you what you desire. First, thing first though get rid of the girl you have no future with. Regardless of the heart break Mr. Fix It.
My toys wanted to come out and play as well. I so felt where Sam was coming from with the drawer of treats and pleasures. Let’s just say, “one is fun, two is better, but the illusion of three maybe four is AWESOME.” I had dreams on top of dreams while reading this book and they all were pleasurable.
I give the Series five stars and am waiting for more releases from the author. Thank you so much Kim for the suggestion.

I had the honor of speaking with Chris Almeida and Cecilia Aubrey last week in honor of the debut of my new blog, Reading by the Book. In this interview readers will get “the skinny” on the dynamic duo as well as information on their series, Countermeasure. I will also be giving away some swag and a free eBook copy of Countermeasure.
How did the two of you meet?
Chris: Cecilia and I met when I joined a role playing group back in September 2010. The role was dear to my heart because the character was a total geek. We became instantly “mated” because the characters we played were a couple.
Cecilia: Chris was the only one brave enough to take the role. Five guys quit before we even started and we “clicked” from first text….LOL
How did the Countermeasure Series come to be?
Chris: One night I had a vivid dream. It was the scene that became the prologue in Countermeasure. The story we could give the story a spin on RP and began playing the characters in RP. The name Trevor came from the real name of a model I used for my old character, but Cecilia came up with Cassandra.
Cecilia: The name Cassandra was the name of my Vampire wars Avatar. I love that name.
Since being a fan on FB I know music is an inspiration for writing scenes (especially steamy ones), are there any author that has inspired your working ethics as well?
Chris: The one person who inspires me to write and follow my dream independent of how quirky it might come out is my father. He was a poet, writer and had the wickedest humor. Very dirty jokes too. My mother has all his many books of poetry and all my early attempts at writing when I was young.
Cecilia: This may sound cliché. I admire a hell of a lot of my authors but none has inspired me as much as my partner in crime, Chris. From the day we started writing together. Yes and Chris has inherited his father’s wicked humor and dirty jokes.
What characters give you the hardest time when writing a scene for them?
Surprising none of the characters has given us a hard time, per se. We do live vicariously through them and experience each emotional rollercoaster to the fullest, that way heart-wrenching scenes become hard on us. But then we balance that with a good love scene ;).
What inspired the spin-off series to Countermeasure, The A.W.E. Crew?
A new character that will be introduced in Alternate Connections. As soon as he appeared on the scene he and his entire Special Ops crew began ranting and demanding their own stories. When a machine gun is pointed in your direction, all you can do is put your hands up and do as they demand. Since Chris and I agreed to their demands, the women in that series have also chimed in. They are making a racket and driving us nuts.
We never give specific dates because we hate missing deadlines and disappointing readers. With that said, we are shooting for 3rd quarter 2013. As we get closer to release, we will announce specific dates.
Before being Indie writers you published two novellas. Will you ever build from those and make them into a novel?
Those two stories hold a special place in our hearts. We do have future plans to rewrite the short novellas into something more solid. At this time, we are still not sure whether they will be novellas or novel length.
Being that the Countermeasure Series seems like real life events, if offered a television series or movie deal in years to come would you accept?
Hell, yes. We would love to see our stories on the big or small screen.
Well there you have it everyone; I would like to thank Chris and Cecilia for their time. I know “US” fans would like to see them hard at work on the next book, which is Alternate Connections by the way. The first book, Countermeasure is .99 for a limited time and the prequel, Uncharted, is FREE. Their books are available in eBooks, print, and some in audio format. The buy link is provided below.
As promised leave a comment below from now until Thursday and you will be entered to win swag and a copy of Countermeasure.
