Out of Line by Jen McLaughlin Blog Tour

Desperate to break free…

I've spent my entire life under my father’s thumb, but now I'm finally free to make my own choices. When my roommate dragged me to my first college party, I met Finn Coram and my life turned inside out. He knows how to break the rules and is everything I never knew I wanted. A Marine by day and surfer by night, he pushes me away even as our attraction brings us closer. Now I am finally free to do whatever I want. I know what I want. I choose Finn.

Trying to play by the rules...

I always follow orders. My job, my life, depends on it. I thought this job would be easy, all the rules were made crystal clear, but when I met Carrie Wallington, everything got muddy. She's a rule I know I shouldn't break, but damn if I don’t inch closer to the breaking point each time I see her. I’m ready to step out of line. And even worse? I’m living a lie. They say the truth will set you free, but in my case…

The truth will cost me everything.

Nothing but the waves crashing. I hesitated. Someone was there. I knew it. “I know you’re out there. You might as well come out. If you don’t, I’ll...I’ll call the cops.”

I held my breath, waiting to see if the hidden person would call my bluff and come out. After a few seconds, a shadowed form stepped forward. As the shadow grew closer, I realized it was a man. A guy who stood at least six feet tall and had muscles that I thought only existed in the romance books I read.

He had to be a couple years older than me, maybe a senior, and he had on a pair of cargo shorts and nothing else. Hot damn, he obviously worked out. A lot. He had short, curly brown hair, and he looked harmless enough. But those muscles...

Okay, when I goaded the guy out of hiding, I hadn’t been expecting a freaking bodybuilder to walk out of the shadows. I backed up a step, biting down on my lower lip. “Who are you, and why are you hiding in the shadows?”

He had a black tattoo of some sort on his flexed bicep. Wait. Scratch that. He had tattoos pretty much from his elbows up and all across his shoulders and pecs. Hot. Really hot. This was the type of guy Dad kept me away from. He had bad boy written all over him. In numerous ways.

He rubbed the back of his neck and stepped closer, towering over me. “Who are you, and why are you hiding in shadows?”

I blinked and forced my eyes away from his ink. “I wasn’t. I was sitting on the bench.”

“Maybe I was too, before you came out.” He grinned at me. “Maybe you stole my seat.”

“Did I?”

I shook my head and tried not to smile, but it was hard. For some

reason, I liked this guy. “You like that word, don’t you?” I held my hand up when he opened his mouth to answer. “Let me guess. Maybe?”

He laughed, loud and clear. I liked the sound of it. “Perhaps.”

“Oh my God, he says something else.” I held a hand to my forehead. “I might be imagining things.”

“Hm. You do look a little flushed.”

Probably because an off-the-radar hot guy was talking to me. Maybe even flirting? Crap. I had no idea. The last time a normal boy had flirted with me, Dad had his security team drag him out of the mall by both arms. I had no doubt this guy would get the same treatment if he ever crossed paths with Dad. “I do?”

He stepped closer and bent down, his eyes at level with mine. They were blue. Really, really blue, with little specks of darker blue around the pupil. People were always telling me that I had the prettiest blue eyes in the world. They were wrong. This guy did.

“Yep. Definitely flushed.”

Four years ago, my dreams were shattered in an instant.

I tried to pick up the pieces and glue them back together the best I knew

Jaimie Fire & Ice by Sandra Marton

Zach Castelianos and Jaimie Wilde meet by accident. The attraction between them is instantaneous and hot, hot, hot. Zach is a woman’s dream: he’s tall, dark and ruggedly handsome, but there’s a dangerous edge to him and Jaimie Wilde is a cautious woman.

They’re wrong for each other. Zach knows it. So does Jaimie, but surely one night of steamy sex won’t change their lives… until Jaimie needs protection from an obsessed stalker and Zach is the only man who can provide it.

I was given this book for an honest review and I was pulled in from the beginning....

Zach was a sex craved closed off protection genius. He was sex on a stick with the drive to get to the bottom of EVERYTHING regardless if it seemed right or wrong. It was wrong to withhold the truth but in the end three words sealed his future.  Him and Jaimie were a match made in paradise. He let her in when he didn't even realize he was and she enjoyed the right now even though it was never in her plan.

Jaimie was an ordered math genius who always went with her gut and plan that was formed weeks in advance. Zach was nothing like she expected but EVERYTHING her body and life needed. It is just so much to say for a friendship with family that will always be there for you because the Wilde family have that in spades. I can go on and on about how Sandra nailed it with love, drama, sex, and togetherness but you will have to read it. I give this book a 5 hearts and wish I can give it more.

Tease Me by Melissa Schroeder

A man who thinks he has what he wants.

Bran Johnson always knew he wanted to be a Marine. What makes it even better is longtime gal pal TK is now stationed at the same base. Unfortunately, Bran is having a hard time dealing with his feelings when he realizes that TK is considered a hot commodity on base. Worse, he finds himself taking a backseat to her admirers.

A woman who always wished for more.

Tess Keller has loved Bran since they were in high school. The former football captain always treated her like a friend so she tried to move on. Unfortunately, he’s in her business constantly now. One passionate argument leads to more than either of them expected. Tess knows it isn’t going to last because Bran is never going to settle down. So, to save face, she suggests they stay friends, only with the side benefit of being sometime lovers.

A Marine determined to win at all costs.

Bran agrees to the friends with benefits idea just to keep himself close to Tess. She might think he’s not around for the long haul, but this is one Johnson brother who knows exactly what he wants…and just how to get it. And what he wants is Tess in his bed and in his life forever. Nothing will stop him, not even Tess herself

I was gifted this book for a HONEST review and let me tell you, I LOVE  a Marine. Brandon and Tess was a riot. They were fighting feelings of friendship and lover in a way that made you laugh and feel sorry for them all at once.

I enjoyed the "hardcore" attitude of Tess as well as the "lady" aspect of her attitude. She gave Bran as good as he delivered and then some. Bran was living in the past and feeling sorry for his decisions of staying away and not being that "friend". It was funny how EVERYONE sent hints that the two were a match made in heaven but they denied it to themselves, each other, and others. I really enjoyed how he DOMINATED her in the end and told her what was going to happen. It is funny how the heart and body know what the mind try to keep out.

The sexual tension was strong and with it being a novella the story line was there from beginning to end. If you are a fan of military romance and a good banter then I suggest you READ this.

Heaven's Sinners by Bella Jewel

Heaven's Sinners (The MC Sinners Series)

Contains adult content, 17 +

Spike knows tragedy, he knows that feelings are better left hidden. He refuses to put his heart out there again, it's a pain he's not willing to feel a second time around. He's accepted he's going to spend forever alone. That's all he deserves.

But then there's Ciara, the sister of his deceased wife. She's beautiful and damned determined to throw herself into his life in hopes they can reform an old friendship, but Spike won't hear of it, and Ciara refuses to give up.

Who will win the battle of wills?

I LOVED this book. I don't know if it is right to hate a dead person but I did not like the reflections of how Cheyenne was in this book. I could have choked Ciara's parents as well.

Ciara was my girl and did not give up on her LOVE for saving or getting back what was taken from her as well as what she willingly gave away. Danny was stuck between a rock and a hard place but chose what was thrown at him like any typical man. I just knew he felt more than what was on the surface and his declaration came at the right time.

Bella know how to do hard core bikers that are brought to their knees by strong willed women and the sex scenes was OMG... I so want to go to that club. Dang I wanted more but I think my answers will be revealed in book three. Thank you for the clarity of their relationship because I figured Ciara left because she was pregnant off their one night of passion after reading book 1. This is a MUST read.

LLI and LLS by Melissa Collins Spotlight

Let Love In Let Love Stay Book Spotlight
Let Love In:

What would happen if you lost everything?  If the people who were supposed to love you unconditionally were no longer there for you, how would your world change?   That’s exactly what happened to Madeleine Becker when her parents died when she was ten years old.  Ripped from her home and everything that she has ever loved, she is forced to start all over again.  The only way for her to move on is to build walls around her heart and keep everyone at a safe distance. Her logic: she can't get hurt if she doesn't fall in love.   That theory is blown to pieces when she meets Reid Connely during her freshman year at college. He is gorgeous and darkly mysterious. He understands Maddy's pain all too well, but sharing his pain would mean breaking down the walls he put up around his own heart. Conflicted between loving Maddy and hiding his dark past, Reid starts to reevaluate his world.  Maddy's inner strength, snarky personality and breath taking beauty help Reid to make peace with his past.   Together they find out what happens when they let love in.

I WAS in awe of this book. Both main characters, Maddy and Reid, had guarded hearts. Neither knew how to heal until they met and fell in love on the dance floor.

The lost that the two experienced although different but very much the same will have you in tears. Reid has the heart of all hearts and the good grace to make you melt. Maddy has a soul that needs to be mended and the ability to make you adore her instantly. Well together they are wonderfully cute but their past hold a key to unexpected events.

A fairytale for the new ages is my opinion. Melissa kicked ass on this book and had me in tears at the end. What was to be expected was nowhere near what actually happened. Stay in your seats ladies because the BEST is yet to be seen. I am so waiting on book 2 TBR July 31st. I give this book 5 hearts.

Let Love Stay:

If you’re lucky, you’ll fall in love – truly, madly and deeply in love.  But what happens when that honest and pure love isn’t enough to erase your fears?  What happens when your past rears its ugly head and threatens your future?   Maddy and Reid had that kind of love – the all-encompassing, Earth shattering, once in a lifetime kind of love.  Then life happened.  Old wounds that were thought to be long healed and scabbed over are ripped opened and they are forced to face the possibility that, maybe, they are not strong enough to fight their demons and embrace the light.   Together, they found out what love is, but now they will each need to heal on their own before they can ever be together again.  They must face their fears and beat down their pasts in order to find their way through this crazy uphill battle called love.   They’ve let love in, but now, they need to find out how to Let Love Stay.

We were left with one hell of a cliff hanger at the end of Let Love In but I promise it was worth it. I was waiting impatiently for the conclusion of Maddy and Reid story and was not prepared for the tears that was flowing while reading the book.

Reid was the shining star in this book and the emotions in which he was battling from within stole my heart. He was a man on a mission not only for his family in which we learned was forming at the end of book one but also for the family in which he turned his back on five years prior. Without giving any spoilers because the book is NEWLY released, I will say the information he received while on his journey will leave ALL internal questions answered as well as break your heart.

Melissa did a wonderful job as well as held true Reid and Maddy fashion with the HOT and STEAMY aspects as well. We also got a glimpse into the upcoming release Let Love Heal which will be Mel and Bryan story. I am pleased with the early release and suggest EVERYONE read both Let Love In and Let Love Stay.

I’ve always been an avid reader.  Majoring in English Literature was a no brainer.  Becoming a teacher and instilling my love for reading into my students was also a no brainer.  I’ve spent the last ten years teaching and I’ve loved (mostly) every minute of it.  When I was home on maternity leave for my third son, I discovered a new genre that sparked my creativity.  My passion for writing sprang from my love of reading and once I knew I had a story to tell, I couldn’t wait to get it out there.  I only hope that my readers enjoy reading my story as much as I enjoyed writing it.

What's Left of Me by Amanda Maxlyn Cover Reveal

Book Title: What’s Left of Me

Author: Amanda Maxlyn

Release date: December 13, 2013

Cover Designer: Mae I Design and Photography

Book Summary:

Life works in mysterious ways.

Four years ago I became known as the girl with cancer.

I refuse to cry.

And I refuse to give in.

A relationship with a man is the last thing I’m looking for right now, but one night with Parker changes everything. He is persistent, and he knows what he wants. Me.

He doesn’t treat me like I’m fragile.

But he doesn’t know, and I’m not ready to tell him.

What if it changes everything?

Tragedy found me when I was seventeen.

Love found me when I was twenty-one.

My name is Aundrea McCall, and this is my journey.

I’m grateful when I reach the door to the ladies room that there isn’t anyone around. I reach for the handle when I hear from behind me, “Not going to use the men’s room again?” I know that sexy voice. It’s the same one as earlier this evening in this same area.

With my heart picking up pace, I turn around smiling sweetly, “No, I’m going to sit down and pee this time.” My smile spreads a little wider and I say a silent thanks to sweet baby Jesus for letting me find my voice this time.

He doesn’t respond. He just steps closer to me with the corner of his lips spreading upward.

I don’t breathe.

I can’t breathe. Not when he is this close.

God he smells amazing. Like a mixture of spice and mint. Maybe a hint of beer too. It's the type of scent that would awaken a primal desire within any female, and good God do I feel awakened.

“You ran off before I could thank you for the dance earlier.” No, thank you. His voice is a faint whisper and his face is now so close that our noses are almost touching. I glance down at his very attractive red lips just as the corners of his mouth move up into the most beautiful smile. Shit. He knows I’m looking at his lips.

I’m transfixed by him. In this very moment, I would do whatever he said or answer to any name he called; even if it was one of those fluffy names like baby or princess. All I can think about is the desire flowing through my body for those lips to be on mine. I would take him in this hallway. There I said it. Or, did I think it?

Do something.

I look back at his lips.

I lick my own.

I can’t think about anything but wanting to feel his lips against mine. All thoughts go out the window of me not being able to pick up a man at a bar. I don’t care, but I will say any cheesy pick up line if it means I get to go home with him.

I know he’s watching me. He has to be thinking about my lips too because just then his tongue comes out licking his own. I try to think of something else to do, but nothing comes to mind. I feel him close the distance between us. He puts a finger under my chin for the second time tonight lifting my face so I’m looking right into his eyes. Without taking his eyes off mine he speaks in a quiet, low, raspy whisper, “I’m going to kiss you now.”

Without waiting for my permission, his lips crash down against mine. He takes my top lip into his mouth tugging ever so gently. I let out a soft moan as his tongue lightly traces my lips- tasting me. I can smell the fresh mint and beer off his breath and all I can think about is tasting it. I grab his neck brining him closer -opening my mouth- inviting him in. He groans as I wrap my arms around his neck running my hands through his hair.

Shit, if I die tomorrow, I can die a happy woman knowing this was my last kiss.

His tongue enters my mouth and I meet it with my own. He reaches down to lift me up and I let him. I wrap my legs around his waist just as he slams my back against the wall in the corner of the hallway. There’s a rush of pain that shoots down my legs causing me to cry out. He must take that as a cry of pleasure because he kisses me harder.

I feel my dress rise all the way to my waist exposing myself for anyone that walks by. My head falls back against the wall and he immediately starts kissing down my chin to my neck, then up to my earlobe bringing it into his mouth biting down. “Do you want to get out of here?” He whispers so softly into my ear I almost don’t think I hear him correctly. When he asks me again I just nod in agreement. Afraid if I were to say anything it wouldn’t be yes, and I really want it to be yes.

Setting me down, he runs his hands over my dress laying it back into place, then grabs my hand and starts speed walking away heading towards the red exit sign.

No More Wasted Time by Beverly Preston Blog Tour

After losing her husband to a sudden heart attack, Tess Mathews escapes to Bora Bora to lay her husband and sorrow to rest. What she doesn't expect is a new beginning.

Tom Clemmins is an A-list actor whose life revolves around work and an onslaught of women. He travels to Bora Bora for a much-needed break. Tom has a few ideas of how he'll enjoy his vacation, but love isn't one of them. Until he sees Tess.

Reserving a private shark-feeding excursion to scatter her husband's ashes into the lagoon, Tess is furious when Mr. Hollywood bribes his way onto the boat, leaving her no other choice but to share the boat ride.

Tess is torn between tremendous guilt and zealous lust when their boat ride turns into a week full of romance and desire neither thought imaginable. Utterly smitten with a woman for the first time in his life, Tom casts his commitment phobia aside and whisks Tess off to Malibu where he introduces her as his "girlfriend" on the red carpet.

As the paparazzi besiege, can Tess survive the media blitz that ensues in order to find her second chance at love?

One massage table sat in the center of the room with three rain-head showers hovering above it. “Are we getting massages?”

“We are.”

“Do you want to go first?”

“No, I’d like you to go first.” He fondled her breasts, raising her shirt over her head and slid her shorts to the ground before lifting her up onto the table. Tom pulled his shirt off. “Face down, please.”

Tess couldn’t quit giggling. “Mr. Tom, are you my masseuse?”

“Yes, yes I am. Do you think I’m up for the daunting task?”

“I’m not sure,” she teased.

He picked an oil and started at her neck, kneading the muscles in her shoulders with the perfect amount of pressure. Using his forearm, Tom worked over her back and butt. Tess’ body began to pulse as his strong hands rubbed down her thighs to her feet. Tom’s long tapered fingers eased up her legs, caressing the inside of her thighs, making her sigh loudly. She wanted to wait for the Jacuzzi, but wasn’t sure if she could hold out. Her body squirmed under the strokes of his strong hands.

“Tess, can you roll over please?”

Aroused and excited, she turned over and closed her eyes. Tom massaged her face, neck and breasts, stopping to feel her heart pounding beneath his hands. As his fingers traveled toward her thighs, she could feel the warmth of his breath on her tummy. Tess held her breath in anticipation.

“Breathe, Tess, just breathe.” She rolled her hips toward his hands, but he whispered in her ear, “Not yet, lay still.”

She exhaled loudly, nodding her head. He touched her affectionately, kissing and licking her nipple, teasing her with his tongue until she began to simmer. Tess wouldn’t be able to wait. She was too close. Overcome by temptation, she couldn’t lie still, writhing beneath his hands. Dipping lower between her thighs, his tongue and fingers moved as if he knew her body better than she did.

Tess had never been touched like this. Pleasure surged through her. He worked over her spot, her favorite spot, throbbing with the need for release. Her quiet moans climbed higher. Reaching down, she held him there, clutching her wrists to his temples. He was remarkable. His fingers glided in a tireless rhythm as her muscles frantically tightened and clenched them inside her.

The sounds coming from her throat sounded foreign and distant over the loud buzz ringing in her ears. “Yes. Oh yes. Oh God.” She cried out as she peaked over and over again, cresting and crashing in violent spasms. Tom began to withdrawal his touch and her upper body thrashed back and forth, pleading, “Don’t stop...please…not done.” When she felt the heat of his mouth return, she released his head from her grip and arched higher, raising her hands above her head. Consumed by raw pleasure-filled emotions, tears stung the corners of her eyes as she shuddered uncontrollably. She whimpered and tugged him upward. He sat on the edge of the table and wrapped her in his arms, stroking and caressing until her breathing slowed. Tess couldn’t move or get up.

“Holy crap,” she panted.

He kissed her shoulder and nuzzled his smooth face against her neck. “Did you enjoy your massage?”

“Yes, I did. You make me so loud.”

“Umm hum, just a little loud.” Satisfaction hung on the curve of his smile.

“I know it’s your turn, but I need a minute. Shit, my hands are shaking.”

While she recovered, Tess noticed stones warming in a miniature oven. This was one of her favorite massages. Although, after the massage he just gave her, she definitely had a new favorite.

Tom settled facedown onto the table. She slowly drizzled oil over his back, causing his muscles to flex as he squirmed. Using the smooth stones with oil, Tess massaged his back and worked out the knots in his shoulders. She spaced the warm stones evenly down his spine before moving on to the rest of his body. Her eyes explored every inch of physic while her hands took in the feel of his fit body beneath her fingertips. She knead the cords in his forearms, moving on to manipulate the center of his palms, gently tugging on each finger.

Tess found herself moving instinctually over his body. Touching without thinking. She felt a connection to Tom, a bond. Her heart raced yearning to give him pleasure.

After removing the stones, she whispered in his ear, “Roll over.”

Driven by the burning desire to please him, she was overcome with the urgency to be better than ever before. Tess loved going down on him, but longed to take him to new heights. Touching her hot, wet tongue to the length of him, she breathed a veil of moist heat on his engorged head. She waited, knowing he would open his eyes to watch her. Lying on his back, Tom sat up onto his elbows, staring down at her. Her lips tugged into a smile before she wrapped her mouth around him, taking in every inch.

A low groan escaped his throat as she began massaging him with her tongue. “Oh…my…God.” he groaned loudly as his head dropped back. “Tess.”

Without releasing him from the suction of her mouth, she climbed onto the table and kneeled between his legs. She set the rhythm, manipulating the length of him with strokes and flicks of her tongue. He clasped his hands to the sides of her face, twisted his fingers in her hair and tugged gently. He strained and his muscles went rigid. Tom moaned from deep within, calling out her name, shuddering fiercely as he came. She took him in, tasting his sweet release. Tess lay her head in his lap, smiling with contentment.

I was not able to put this book down for many reasons, the first and most important was the healing process of Tess. Everyone finds closure in their own way but finding closure does not mean you no longer LOVE.

Tess and Tom healed each other and found a friend more so then a partner when they were away on "vacation". The doubts were there and they did not let the outside world determine what would be their fate. I did doubt the TRUST of when he had to leave but his demons were also his strength. Tess kind of pissed me off when she did not listen to him and saw RED but what woman wouldn't have. If I am honest I thought the worst of Tommy too, LOL. In the end it ALL worked out.

This is definitely a MUST read to true love believers everywhere. Beverly pulled you in and gave you warmth, love, sex, family drama, and laughter with a storyline that flowed. I just found out that Shayla and John have a story I MUST read. I wanted them to hook-up.

I sit there in silence, giving them time to absorb everything I’ve said.

Trying to distract myself again from the tension beginning to build up inside, I begin to look around the room. I notice on one of the walls is a wall hanger, with a whole bunch of medals hanging from them. I walk over to them and start looking at them. As I'm doing this I get another memory.

This one is of Matt and me. A crowd of people surrounds us, as a medal is being placed around my neck. I feel ecstatic as I hug him. I’m looking behind him at the big banner that says "Portland Marathon" in big green letters. It’s a finish line, and by the year on the banner it was just last year.

Excited, I turn to face Matt, this must be where we met. Even though I don’t remember reading anything on Google that said I was a runner. "We ran the Portland Marathon together last year, that's where we must have met."

He gets up and comes over, standing next me and begins concentrating on the medals with me.

"No, we didn't," he clips out, keeping his eyes on the medals.

"Yes, we did, you’re in my memory and we’re crossing the finish line together.” At least I’m pretty sure we did. “They gave us our medals together and we are hugging."

Matt looks back at me with a fierce glare. His chest is beginning to rise and fall, and he’s shaking his head. His eyes turn glassy like he wants to cry, but he's fighting to hold it back. “I didn't run it with you,” he insists, staring at me in disbelief, and irritation laces his voice. “I ran it with my sister. It was the last race we ran together."

Oh shit! Then why am I having this vision? It has to mean something, I was pretty sure it was my memory. It felt so real.

"Are you sure? I’m pretty sure I’m right. I clearly see the memory. It was only last year, and I'm pretty sure I was there with you. "Can I be wrong? No, I wasn’t asleep when I got this one, so I know it has to be an actual memory. "What about my dream of running with you in the park, that has to be real, right? There's a trail in the background."

This makes Matt angry and he walks away. "Now you’re fucking with me. Who's been feeding you her info?"

"What are you talking about, nobody is feeding me info. I told you these are the things that I remember. The only things I remember. Besides you, and who is this she you keep referring to?"

Matt shakes his head and runs his hands through his hair. The other guy starts drinking from his beer again. He looks like he wants to put his two cents into the conversation, but he decides to stay quiet. He's trying to absorb everything, and so am I.

"Look, there is no way you would have those memories unless somebody told you about them.”

He goes quiet but then his eyes light up, like he’s just realized something. I’m soon disappointed when he says, “I get it. She must have done some designer shit for you. That’s when she must have mentioned that she ran the marathon. She talked about running to anybody who would listen."

I shake my head in disagreement, wanting him to believe me.

Matt starts pacing the small space in the living room in front of the patio door. What is he talking about, and who would design something for me? I start biting my thumbnail and pacing the room next to him, but in the opposite direction, causing us to pass by each other. That's when the other guy stands up from the couch.

"Dude, you guys need to stop that walking shit, you’re making me trip."

I’m irritated again as I look over at him and snap, "Oh, shut it Trey, I'm trying to figure this out!"

He drops his beer and it lands on the floor with a loud thump. Matt’s body spins around fast, facing me, and he covers his mouth with a fist.

I’m from a small town in Southern California. I currently live in Washington with my wonderful husband, two amazing kids and a senior citizen kitty. I started writing one day with no goal in mind. I just had an idea that would not get out of my head so I opened a notebook and wrote it down; that idea turned into another, turned into another and next thing I knew I had a book. When I am not writing you can find me reading. I LOVE to read, show me an author who doesn’t. You might catch me sneaking off for a run listening to whatever music happens to be playing or curled up on the couch watching Bones, when I am not trying to keep track of my husband or my kids. Some might say I live a crazy life, but I wouldn’t change a thing about it.

Sandra Marton Emily Sex & Sensibility Blog Tour

Sandra Tour

Emily book

Emily Wilde has led a privileged life. Now she’s trying to make it on her own in Manhattan.

Marco Santini grew up dirt poor in a Sicilian slum. Now he has everything. He’s gorgeous. He’s rich. He’s powerful. And he has all the beautiful women a man could ask for.

Then, one rainy night, he sees a woman standing alone on a deserted New York street corner. Emily is clearly in need of help, but she’s not foolish enough to step into Marco’s chauffeured Mercedes. It takes a lot of convincing before she lets him take her to her apartment. He swears he’s not going to do anything he shouldn’t and he means it--but she’s in his arms before they can stop themselves.

Still, it’s only a kiss, just one kiss in a moment torn out of time. That’s what they both think.

But Fate has other plans, starting with an unexpected job offer and a business trip to Paris that explodes in a passion so hot it will change everything--everything but the web of lies that traps them both.

Emily quote 2

This is ridiculous. The word wet no longer described her. Or him, for that matter, he thought grimly. Rain was dripping from his hair into his eyes. His jacket was taking a soggy beating though it would stand up to the elements far better than whatever she was wearing.

A dress. Silk, most probably.

Silk, it seemed, did not do well in the rain.

It clung to her body, outlining gently curved hips, a slender waist and small, high breast. Now that he thought about it, he could even see the thrust of her nipples.

They seemed to be very nice nipples, of a size that would welcome a lover’s mouth.

Sandra has won the Holt Medallion. She’s been a finalist for the Romance Writers of America prestigious RITA award four times. She’s won eight Romantic Times Magazine Reviewers’ Choice Awards and was honored with their Career Achievement Award for Series Romance.

Sandra always dreamed of becoming a writer. She wrote poems when she was little, moved on to writing short stories by the time she was in university. She was graduated with Honors in English but, she says, life—a lovely one—intervened with her writing dream. She married, had a family, became active politically in the small town outside New York City where she and her husband lived. Then, one day, she paused long enough to realize her dream was getting away from her and decided to do something about it.

Sandra wrote her very first novel, a romance she called Rapture in the Sands. She sent a synopsis and one chapter to several publishers. A senior editor at Harlequin liked what she’d read and asked to see the rest. After revisions, Harlequin Mills and Boon Ltd bought and published the book.

Today, Sandra is a full time author. She lives in northern Connecticut with her husband, who was her childhood sweetheart, in a sun-drenched house surrounded by woods.

Always Me -- the 2nd book in the Shattered Series by Jo-Anna Walker

Releasing Fall 2013

Forgetting is hard to do.

Tori McLeod survived the sadistic wrath of a madman at the
cost of the love of her life. Always a survivor, she’s determined to move on
with her life, for her sake, and the sake of her son, even if she has to leave
everything and everyone behind.

Two years have passed since she lost Sebastian Chelios. He
was gone, but Tori can still feel the raw magnetism pulling her toward a ghost.

Relationships change and new bonds form. Budding feelings
tempt Tori, but she continues to ache for Sebastian.

Whispers of danger lurk around the corner and questions
regarding Jose remain unanswered.

Can Tori move on with her life when a dark shadow from her
past revisits her? With Jose still being out there, will Tori and her son ever
be truly safe?

Two years had passed since Sebastian Chelios had
died. Two years since being told that Jose Alvarez was still out there. And two
years since I was told I was pregnant.

Pregnant with Sebastian’s baby.

God, who knew that that would happen?

A result of my forgetfulness of taking
the pill. But it was well worth it when I looked into the eyes of my baby.
Sebastian’s baby. Our child.

I tried to forget. But the calendar on
the wall beckoned like a tease, and my eyes darted to the dreaded numbers. My
mind went back to those horrible couple of days.

It was like a bad horror movie in my
mind. Jose kidnapping me. Sebastian showing up. Us both shot. The blur of the
hospital. My lover. Dead. Doctors and nurses in my face. Then news of the
pregnancy. My head whirled when I got sucked into my thoughts. Real, as if it
was yesterday. Realizing I would have to raise a child on my own.

But now…every day I looked at Antonio
and ached. His eyes had slipped from blue to brown, and he reminded me so much
of Sebastian.

His father would never see him. Never
know him.

Fresh tears filled my eyes but I shook
them off. I headed to the front door and made sure it was locked. I looked out
the window and noticed a big black car a couple of houses away. Relief
fluttered through me. The Feds were watching. Protecting me and my son from

A scream came through the baby monitor
on my counter.

I ran up the stairs in my small two
bedroom house and headed right to my baby’s room. After throwing the door open,
I stood there, panting, gripping my chest as my heart raced against my rib

My son lay there, looking up at me
from his crib, a big smile on his beautiful chubby face.

I sucked in a breath and tried to ease
the thumping in my ears. “Hi, baby. You sure like giving your mama a heart
attack, don’t you?”

He giggled. Yup, definitely
Sebastian’s kid.

About the Author

I'm a new self-published author who just got introduced to
the writing world early 2013. My aunt suggested that I write a story because
I'm an avid reader but I waved it off and left it alone. Well this year, a story
came to me and I went with it. It took me a little bit but I finally got a
story idea that worked and now I can't stop or control the characters/stories
that keep popping up in my head.

I'm born and raised in Canada and I live with my very
wonderful and supportive husband, Michael. We don't have any children (yet)
unless you count our two cats. He's been my rock through this whole new
experience for me. I couldn't have done it without him and my friends and

One of the many things I love about this new chapter in my
life is that I'm learning constantly. It's never a dull moment and as long as
one person likes my story, I am happy.
